Or just download and install the latest binary

#> wget http://hudson-ci.org/debian/binary/hudson_1.339_all.deb
#> sudo apt-get install daemon
#> sudo apt-get install maven2
#> sudo dpkg -i hudson_1.339_all.deb
#> sudo /etc/init.d/hudson start

Install git plugin via Manage plugins option and restart hudson (you can even do it from GUI)

Go to Your local hudson instance

Setup git

Via GUI

set: sudo git config --system user.email "smarek@plus.net" sudo git config --system user.name "Hudson"

and SSH keys
